On May 16, 2025, the “Sofia” Hall at INTERPRED – World Trade Center Sofia hosted a landmark event commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Institute of Organic Chemistry with the Center for Phytochemistry of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). The celebration featured a annual scientific session drawing participation from leading research institutions across the country.
As part of the festivities, Dr. Ivalina Trendafilova delivered a presentation titled “Development of Sustainable Silica Adsorbents for Separation of Naturally Derived Bioactive Molecules.” Her talk highlighted advancements linked to a project supported by the “Petar Beron and NIE” funded by the National Scientific Fund.
The event also included a poster session showcasing work from the ORMM laboratory. Researchers Dr. Consolato Rosmini, Grigoria Teochari, and Stella Grozdanova presented their latest findings. Notably, Grigoria Teochari received the “Best Presentation” award (3rd place) for her poster on “Design of 3D-printed Mg-doped Ni-Co-containing porous silica derived from biowaste as highly efficient catalysts for CO2 methanation”.
